Super Eagles striker Henry Onyekuru treated himself to a sumptuous brace as he scored his fifth and sixth goals of the season in the Turkish Super Lig on Sunday when Galatasary defeated Sivasspor 4-2 at their Turk Telekom Stadium.

The help of the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) was required to determine if the striker on loan from Everton was offside or not when he received the pass from  Brazilian midfielder Fernando to slot home the ball for the first of his braces.

Sivasspor’s goals were scored by former Real Madrid and Manchester City forward Robinho.

Still in Turkey, Anthony Nwakaeme scored his fourth goal of the season in Trabzonspor’s 4-1 mauling of Rizespor at their Medical Park Stadium.

Nwakaeme had assisted Hugo Rodallega’s 79th minute goal while former Flying Eagles winger Aminu Umar scored Rizespor’s consolation goal.

Super Eagles midfielder Ogenyi Onazi was substituted off in the 32nd minute by Juraj Kucka over injury concerns.

In France, Eagles winger Samuel Kalu scored in the 22nd minute and grabbed his second Ligue 1 goal of the season in 13 matches as Bordeaux were held at home by Amiens.
