Spanish League champions, Barcelona are ready to pay €125M release clause for Antoine Griezmann as the Catalan giants look to bolster their attack.
After getting knocked out of the Champions League at the Semi Final stage, Barcelona are going all out to get Griezmann as the club’s hierarchy are tired of Luis Suarez upfront.
Talks are ongoing with the player about the contract to finalize the deal. A five year deal is currently being proposed.
Griezmann spoke to the Atletico Madrid hierarchy about his desire to leave the club, calling it quits after a 5 year period with the Madrid club with Griezmann described as “incredible”
Griezmann has always been linked to Barcelona in years past and it seems like the World cup winner would finally link up with Lionel Messi in what promises to be a formidable Barcelona attack.
Griezmann made a name for himself with Real Soceidad before sealing a high profile move to Atletico Madrid in 2014.
At Atletico Madrid, Griezmann has played 256 Games and scored 133 Goals and providing 50 assists.
French giants, PSG are also keeping tabs on Griezmann as Atletico Madrid coach, Diego Simeone does not want to sell his star striker to a rival club despite Barcelona willing to pay his release clause and negotiating with the player.
