Manchester City crowned League Champions on last day frenzy.

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City successfully defended their Premier League title, getting a much needed 4-1 win over Brighton on the last match day.

The Premier League title race went down the wire as Liverpool and Manchester City were neck in neck as either side could win the trophy.

At a point, Liverpool led Wolves through a goal from Saido Mane, and Brighton took the lead against City after Glenn Murray powered an header from a corner past Ederson which meant Liverpool were on on top.

City would not be having any of that however, as Aguero equalized a minute after Brighton’s goal after a clever flick from David Silva.

A draw would not help City’s course and Pep Guardiola’s side added more goals to help themselves and put their fates firmly in their own hands.

Brighton’s goalkeeper intially denied Bernardo Silva and Mahrez as City threatened to open the floodgates which they eventually did.

Laporte found the back of the net nodding in from a Mahrez Corner to give City a 2-1 lead at halftime.

Mahrez scored as well while Gundogan bent in a precious free kick to seal the League title for Manchester City as Mane’s brace for Liverpool against Wolves means Klopp’s side finished as runners up.

Liverpool finished on 97 points, Manchester City finished on 98 points.

Up next for Manchester City is the FA Cup final against Watford where they could complete a domestic treble triumph if they can add the FA Cup to the Carabao Cup and  Premier League titles won this season.
