Kun Sergio Aguero netted a treble as Manchester City recorded a 3-1 win over Arsenal on Sunday in the Premier League.
Pep Guardiola’s side welcomed Arsenal to the Etihad stadium knowing only a win could help them cut Liverpool’s lead at the top of the League table.
Aguero needed less than 50 seconds from the start of the game to put Manchester City ahead.
Arsenal would level back through Laurent Koscienly after a well worked Arsenal Corner.
Emery’s side were second best afterwards as Manchester City created chances after chances with Sterling, De Bruyne, Aguero all missing good chances
Aguero would however put Manchester City ahead with a tap in at the far post.
Arsenal failed to turn up at all in the second half as Manchester City strolled in the encounter with Leno having to make as many as 8 saves in the encounter.
Aguero netted his treble with the help of his hand which the referee did not see as Manchester City returned to 2nd on the Table while Arsenal moved to 6th.
It was Aguero’s 10th hat trick for Manchester City as he moved to 14 goals in the League. Only Alan Shearer has scored more hat tricks in the Premier League than Aguero.
