Pierre- Emerick Aubameyang netted a sensational Hat trick at the Mestalla Stadium as Arsenal powered to a 2-4 win over Valencia on Thursday night in the Europa League to seal a final slot.
The win completes a 7-3 aggregate scoreline for Arsenal over Valencia from both legs of their Semi Final as the North London side progresses to the UEFA Europa League final.
Arsenal took a 3-1 advantage to Spain. But in a week filled with great comebacks in Europe, Valencia took an early lead through birthday boy Kevin Gameiro in the 11th minute.
Six minutes later, however, Arsenal would score the first of four away goals with Aubameyang netting after a pass from striker partner, Lacazette.
With the match levelled 1-1 at halftime, it was advantage Arsenal.
Unai Emery’s side were not willing to stop there as Lacazette netted in the 50th minute to give Arsenal a cushion after collecting a good pass from Torreira.
8 minutes later, however, Gameiro netted again for the Spanish side to keep Arsenal on their toes.
Aubameyang would however help Arsenal seal matters with his brace in the 69th minute, and his treble in the 88th minute with assists from Niles and Mhkitaryan to confirm Arsenal’s progression to their first European final since 2006.
Arsenal next face Burnley on the last day of the 2018/2019 Premier League campaign.
