If you were told by a prophet that a certain Pukki would be top scorer in the Premier League after match day 2, would you believe?
Well, that’s what the Premier League is all about.
Pukki is the name on everyone’s lips following his hat trick against Newcastle in a one man show as he helped Daniel Farke’s Norwich to all three points.
Since the start of last season, Pukki has scored 33 league goals, more than any other player across the top four tiers of English football. That’s more than the likes of Harry Kane, Aubameyang, Aguero and the likes.
Pukki first showed the Premier League his goal scoring instinct in Norwich’s sorry 4-1 bashing in the hands of Liverpool and he followed that up in fine fashion against woeful Newcastle.
One can expect the big boys to bring a big bid for red-hot Pukki whose goals- if he stays with the Canaries could help them avoid relegation to the championship.
Pukki has shown instinct, presence of mind, good composure and an eye for goal- he is indeed Premier League material. All Hall king Pukki #Pukkiparty
Three African footballers- Aubameyang, Mane & Salah shared the golden boot amongst themselves in the 2018/2019 season, scoring 22 goals each. If you thought that was a fluke, think again!
The trio have continued from where they stopped in the 2019/2020 season with Salah on target for Liverpool against Norwich. The Egyptian also provided an assist for Virgil Van Dijk in the encounter.
Senegalese forward, Mane scored and provided the assist for the winner against Southampton following his good run of form after netting a brace against Chelsea in the Europa League super Cup final.
Sadio Mane is the first player to score in his first #PL start of a campaign in 4 back-to-back seasons since Mark Viduka did so between 2002-03 and 2005-06.
Sadio Mané has scored more Premier League goals in 2019 than any other player (15).
Gabonese forward, Aubameyang scored the winner for Arsenal against Newcastle and followed that up with another winner against Burnley.
Arsenal attacker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has scored seven goals against Burnley in four league appearances, four more goals than he has netted against any other Premier League side.
The race for the golden boot is on and the African trio are ready to give it a big go never mind King Pukki’s 4 goals so far, never mind Sterling’s goal hunt- which has seen him score 4 goals as well.
WINLESS FRANK LAMPARD.
It was always going to be a big ask for a manager with just one year managerial experience- Frank Lampard to deliver the goods at Chelsea.
The Chelsea legend was not helped by a 4-0 bashing in the hands of Manchester United in the opening day, a loss inspired by a Paul Pogba master class.
A 1-1 draw against Leicester City followed suit, a match the Foxes dominated the blues at Stamford bridge.
Chelsea are already 5 points behind pacesetters Liverpool and Arsenal and three points behind defending champions Manchester City.
Frank Lampard is the first Chelsea manager to fail to win any of his first three games in charge of the club since Rafael Benitez in the 2012-13 campaign.
Frank Lampard must up his game and get Chelsea running, before things get awry and a sack letter becomes his latest worry.
