Manchester City hit  Shakhtar Donetsk for Six on Wednesday night in the UEFA Champions League in a 6-0 whitewash.

Gabriel Jesus, David Silva and Raheem were in top form for Pep Guardiola's side.

The blazing Manchester City  took the lead in the 13th minute through David Silva.

They did get the 2nd in a controversial way  as  referee Viktor Kassai decided to award them a dubious penalty midway through the first-half.

The Hungarian referee pointed to the spot thinking Mykola Matvyenko tripped Raheem Sterling but the England forward actually kicked the ground before going down.

Up stepped Gabriel Jesus in the 25th minute to  converting from the spot to send the hosts into the break with a two goal advantage.

In the second-half, goals  from Sterling, a second penalty from Jesus and Riyad Mahrez plus one more from  Jesus rounded off City's biggest European win by completing.

Up next for Manchester City is the Manchester derby against Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium.

Shakhtar Donetsk travel to Vorskla on Sunday  in the Ukrainian Premier League.
